Design legend Elsie de Wolfe has created a beautiful Beverly Hills home for American heiress Dorothy di Frasso in 1936.

Verpan's Cloverleaf

Verpan’s Cloverleaf is both fun and practical, perfect for large lounge areas and commercial spaces. It was first presented in 1970 for the Visiona 2 exhibition in Cologne. The idea behind this sofa consists of assembling forms to get different shapes by using the sofa’s build-up system. Each space can therefore be a unique interior with Cloverleaf forming a fluid shape that encourages various seating manners.

Bruno Moinard

Tari Console is aesthetically built from patinated brass and tinted molded glass which can be seen to depict the cliffs and seas of Bruno Moinard’s hometown, Varengeville-sur-Mer in France.

Moinard refers to his polished brass Stydd lamp as “accessorized minimalism.” We think this table lamp would perfectly light up any study, library, or bedroom with its clear beams.

Nancy Lorenz for Chanel

Peter Marino, architect of Chanel’s Tokyo store, commissioned abstract painter Nancy Lorenz for an eight-panel screen.

Having lived in Tokyo for five years, Lorenz work features Japanese influences. Public commissions include the Gucci Towers in Tokyo and Hong Kong, the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the Time/Warner center in New York City. Recently, she has collaborated on limited edition projects for Bottega Veneta and Temple St. Clair.

Everyone's favourite cocktail table

In 1961, Yve Klein created two unfinished cocktail table prototypes. Two years later, his widow started producing the patented acrylic tables. Made from a blue pigment and a binding medium, Klein developed the “International Klein Blue” (IKB) and around 44 pounds of it are used in his Table Bleue.

Table Bleue

The table is available in the three materials: IKB and rose pigment and gold leaf.  The number of tables produced each year is limited but no more than approximately 40-60 tables are created yearly.

The table comes in one size and customization is not possible. The sides and base of the table are plexiglass but the top is a more durable glass making it a functional and easily maintained table. The tables are shiped directly from Klein’s Parisian estate and must be installed immediately upon arrival.

Irregular rug by Atelier février

The “À Point” collection by Atelier février represents the patterns formed by the flight of migrating birds. The bespoke rugs are made in Asia using local knowledge and raw materials, particularly wool from Tibet and silk from China.

Ricky Rug, hand-knotted in Nepal

Florian Pretet, founder of Atelier février, became head of production for hand woven cashmere and silk for a luxury brand. Recently, he has developed his skills as a textile designer and his knowledge of craftsmanship by creating one-of-a-kind rugs.

Crazy for Condo

In 2013, George Condo faced a combination of illnesses and it was during that period that he painted Constellation Portrait, where he drifted further into his particular approach to portraiture and abstraction. In the above painting, the facial features seem to branch into almost two separate figures as if the subject were on the brink of falling apart.

Can’t resist Jean-Louis Deniot’s transformation of an 18th-century apartment in the heart of Paris! The designer mixed both classical and contemporary when redesigning this 2,000-square-foot apartment.

Upper cabinets fitted with mirrored facings.

DINING ROOM

The dining table and chairs are vintage. Galerie Diurne rug and grisaille mural by Florence Girette, a contemporary take on the wallpapers of 18th-century Zuber.

Because the room had no natural light, Deniot used a darker floor to make the walls look brighter.

Guerlain Paris by Peter Marino

Guerlain, one of the older perfumeries in the world, has undergone a renovation by luxury architect Peter Marino in celebration of its 100th year anniversary.

We find it fascinating how the walls seem to be painted with brush strokes but are actually fabrics which have been cut and hand sewn onto a base panel.

Marino suspended Philippe Starck crystal chandeliers over each sales counters and made sure everything was reflected in the mirror on the ceiling.
